About Khabir Southwick
Integrative Ayurveda Doctor
Khabir Southwick is an Integrative Ayurveda Doctor, traditional naturopath, and herbal pharmacist with nearly three decades of experience in classical Ayurvedic education, herbal formulation, and individualized lifestyle guidance. His work reflects a long evolution—from early training in nutrition and herbal medicine, through years of study and teaching in India, to thousands of appointments in California, and now a fully remote, technology-supported consulting practice.
Study & Teaching in India
Khabir’s approach was deeply shaped by extended time in India, including Rishikesh and Kerala, where he studied and taught Ayurveda in traditional settings. Between 2016 and 2022, he led multi-day training programs covering foundational Ayurvedic principles, traditional assessment methods, herbology, dietary therapies, and classical lifestyle education.
These years established a core focus that continues today: understanding patterns, working individually, and prioritizing long-term consistency over short-term fixes.
Years of Practice in California
From 2012 through 2019, Khabir maintained an active consulting and teaching practice in Ojai, California. During this period, he completed thousands of one-on-one appointments and delivered over 100 public lectures and educational programs throughout Southern California.
This phase refined a practical, grounded consulting style—one that emphasizes clarity, education, and realistic application rather than rigid theory.
International Education & Outreach
In addition to his U.S. work, Khabir taught internationally in Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, and India, offering workshops and training programs focused on applying Ayurveda within modern lifestyles.
Across cultures and locations, the emphasis remained the same: Ayurveda is most effective when it is understood, adaptable, and lived.
Herb Man Teas & Formulation Work
Years of hands-on herbal experience led to the development of Herb Man Teas, a comprehensive line of handcrafted Ayurvedic teas and herbal products. By 2023, this work expanded into a large online catalog, with many formulas available through major platforms by 2024.
Product development remains intentionally separate from consulting, allowing education and formulation to stand independently.
Vision
To advance Ayurveda as a modern, accessible system of individualized health education
